M. Salvivs Otho was one of Augustus’ moneyers and the maternal uncle of Emperor Otho.

This rare obverse type of Victory setting the laurel wreath on Augustus’ head occurs only on a few of the middle bronzes of the three moneyers assigned to 7 BC.
