Katane, which stood at the foot of Mount Aetna, was a Chalcidian colony from Naxus.

Obverse: KATANAION, Laurel head of Apollo

Reverse: Slow quadriga, Nike crowning horses

Diameter: 26 mm

BECKER, BMC 24  Stamped on the rim
Silver-plated, made in the USA
