Description

An Exact Replica of the Original Coin

This Christophori denomination was named for the cista mystica (a sacred woven chest). The coins were used throughout Asia Minor from 200 BC and through Rome’s control of Aisa Minor.

Obverse: Cista mystica with serpent; all within ivy wreath figure stg.|torch|monogram

Reverse: Two serpents entwined about bow-case, pro consular

Diameter: 25 mm
Stamped with the word copy.
Silver plated lead free pewter, made in the USA
Packaged in a coin collecting flip with the description of coin printed on flip insert.
