Description

Naxos, or Naxus, the oldest Greek colony on Sicily, at its northeast coast.

Obverse:  Bearded head of Dionysos right, wearing wreath of ivy, hair tied in bunch behind head

Reverse: Naked Silenos squatting and holding thyrsos

Diameter: 26 mm

BECKER, BMC 7  Stamped on rim
Silver plated lead free pewter, made in the USA
Packaged in a coin collecting flip with the description of coin printed on flip insert.
