Maroneia was one of the wealthiest towns of the ancient world along with nearby Abdera and Mesimvria.

Obverse: wreathed head of young Dionysos right. Rev.: ΔIONYΣOY ΣΩTHPOΣ MAPΩNITΩN

Reverse: nude Dionysos standing half-left, holding grapes, narthex stalks and cloak; below, monogram to left and right.

Diameter: 29 mm

Silver plated lead-free pewter, with hand-finished patina, made in the USA.
Packaged in a coin collecting flip with the description of coin printed on flip insert.
