Description

In 1786 Thomas Goadsby, Albion Cox, and Walter Mould were granted authority by the New Jersey colonial legislature to strike coins for the state.

Obverse: Horse’s head facing left with plow and the legend NOVA CAESAREA (New Jersey), 1788

Reverse: United States shield and legend E PLURIBUS UNUM (One Composed of Many)

Diameter: 29 mm

Copper plated lead-free pewter, made in the USA
Packaged in a coin collecting flip with the description of coin printed on flip insert
