Description
Kentucky tokens were minted in England as part of the English Conder token series. English numismatists and enthusiasts of the time widely collected them.
Obverse: Hand-holding scroll inscribed with “OUR CAUSE IS JUST.” Around the border: “UNANIMITY IS THE STRENGTH OF SOCIETY.”
Reverse: Pyramid with 15 letters representing 15 states of the Union at that time, with K (for Kentucky) at the top, around the border E PLURIBUS UNUM.
