Hellenistic Period Greek Coinage

The KINGDOM of THRACE. Lysimachos. 305-281 BC. Tetradrachm. Abydos mint. Struck early-mid 3rd century BC.

 

Obverse:  Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon.

Reverse:  BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena seated left, holding Nike in extended right hand, left arm resting on shield, spear behind; in inner left field, AP monogram above bee; EM monogram in exergue.

Diameter: 28 mm

Material: Silver plated lead free pewter
Made in the USA
Packaged in a coin collecting flip with the description of coin printed on flip insert.
